A trip back to one of our favorites, Glacier National Park, MT. Clouds of the first night dissipated just right to bring a nice sunrise shot at Wild Goose Island overlook. This year, there were just two of us at the outcrop. A few years ago I stood with about another 12 photographers at the same spot fighting over tripod locations.

Thirteen minutes later, the sun appeared from behind El Capitan. I normally shoot with a 24-70mm f2.8 for sunstars; but had the 50mm f1.8 lens on at f16 and it gave a pleasing result.

Last sunset of the trip. Clouds just wouldn't open up enough to let the light stream through. 5 exposure blend to bring out the details of the foreground and the sky.

Almost missed this sunset. It was mostly cloudy throughout the day and was back at camp when I saw the light starting to illuminate the clouds. 3 image blend in Lightroom.
