Moments from Duval to the World 🌳✨
This was such an incredible experience and new way of viewing one of our city’s greatest treasure - Treaty Oak Park. The love and care that put into this project – scratch that – visual storytelling was so special. And being the first to activate Treaty Oak in such a huge way? Next level! You deserve all the flowers Chef🙌💕
Every detail was so well thought out and I can’t wait to see what happens here next. Admittedly, I’ve barely visited Treaty Oak ( I don’t explore the south bank very often) but this will now be a place I revisit again and again.
Through the work of , we get activations like this and see what our creative community can truly do with the right support. Jax is on the rise and if you’re not riding the wave to uplift + broaden communities together – don’t complain when things happen that you don’t like. Put your ideas to paper and make it happen!

Duval to the World 🌳✨
Super excited to have been invited + join this Sunday under the canopy of Treaty Oak Park honoring the flavorful legacy of Black Chefs 🤌
Whipped up some old and new ideas for this special project - a cute little shrimp, slice of key lime pie, and a bundle of fruit. I wanted to make things that were a little bit of me while keeping to the story of Duval to the World.
🦐 The shrimp represents Mayport; where I’ve planted my roots and found my home. Mayport Shrimp is the best and most freshest shrimp around.
🥧 The key lime pie slice represents not only a delicious dessert (don’t at me if you don’t like it) but also is deeply rooted in Florida’s history, specifically the Keys. The folklore of “Aunt Sally” is a colloquialism for Black, Cuban, and Bahamian Chef’s.
🫐 Finally, the bundle of fruit is my homage to my time spent working with farmers for over 4 years. Farmers make the world go round and are artists themselves!
If you haven’t gotten tickets yet, make sure you do. Tickets are still available on Chef Onyx’s page 🙌

Signed, sealed, and (almost) delivered 🤌
Took a hot second to get here but so in awe of how this turned out. 2026 is truly shaping out to be a year that I take on new challenges and projects (this is why I say careful what you say, cause baby the universe will provide!) 🫨
This piece was a fun, new experiment with the use of the glass trinket plates. Rather than displaying ok a shelf or set aside, they’ll now be on hung up and on full display in a unique way. The colors all intertwine and remind me of gemstones.
Final specs are 14’x32’ with a mix of copper foil, lead came and zinc.
