Coming Soon to The Historic Strand

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Movie
Every generation has a legend.

What do we know about Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker?
Director J.J. Abrams, screenwriter Chris Terrio, and Lucasfilm chief Kathleen Kennedy went through every Star Wars film to come up with a storyline for The Rise of Skywalker that served as a grand finale but also its own individual film (Star Wars Celebration, 4/12/19).
The crew includes Dan Mindel (Director of Photography), Rick Carter and Kevin Jenkins (Co-Production Designers), Michael Kaplan (Costume Designer), Neal Scanlan (Creature and Droid FX), Maryann Brandon and Stefan Grube (Editors), Roger Guyett (VFX Supervisor), Tommy Gormley (1st AD), and Victoria Mahoney (2nd Unit Director) (7/27/18).
Composer John Williams, who has scored every chapter in the Star Wars saga since 1977’s A New Hope, will return with a brand-new score for Episode IX (7/27/18).
“We desperately loved Carrie Fisher,” said director J.J. Abrams. “Finding a truly satisfying conclusion to the Skywalker saga without her eluded us. We were never going to recast or use a CG character. With the support and blessing from her daughter, Billie, we have found a way to honor Carrie’s legacy and role as Leia in Episode IX by using unseen footage we shot together in Episode VII (7/27/18)."
Leia Organa, played by Carrie Fisher, will return in Star Wars: Episode IX using previously unreleased footage from Star Wars: The Force Awakens (7/27/18).
Writer-director Colin Trevorrow (at 2015's D23 Expo) states, “This is not a job or an assignment. It is a seat at a campfire, surrounded by an extraordinary group of storytellers, filmmakers, artists, and craftspeople. We’ve been charged with telling new stories for a younger generation because they deserve what we all had -- mythology to call their own. We will do this by channeling something George Lucas instilled in all of us: boundless creativity, pure invention, and hope.”
Said to focus on a new generation of heroes and could feature appearances by Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher in older incarnations of their beloved characters from the original Star Wars trilogy.

Big-Screen Advertising at the Jesup Movies

“We all agree movies allow us to escape—and there’s value in that—but it’s more than simple escapism. People come to see movies at the theater partly for the experience more than anything- film is a hugely entertaining medium and allows us -- briefly -- to escape our lives and venture somewhere else. Movies take us to places we’ve never been and inside the skin of people quite different from ourselves. They offer us a window onto the wider world, broadening our perspective and opening our eyes to new wonders. That, in essence, is the true attraction.

Local businesses advertise on our 5 big screens for two reasons:

#1: Cinema screens are a good way to get your message out to a specific, localized market – our neighborhood.

#2: The ads on screen hold a captive audience. When audience members show up early to claim their seats, they don’t have much else to look at besides your ads on the big screens.

When local businesses advertise on our five screens they know that about 900 people from our neighborhood will see their ad every day. For a neighborhood business, that’s great advertising. Plus, you’ll be well-supported by your community.

It helps business friends in our neighborhood connect with the folks in their neighborhood. That’s “shop local” at its finest.

Jesup Movies/Altamaha Connect, www.jesupmovies.com has several packages of on-screen advertising (by the quarter). We sell the Platinum Bundle video ads shown on all 5 screens for as little as $575 a month or $600 per month for 2 40 second videos at the Historic Strand (3 screens) and 2 60 second videos at the Jesup Drive-In (2 screens).

There are a number of different things that are pretty exciting that are coming soon to our local businesses to help them, period. Altamaha Connect does everything through the lens of how can we help our partners. How can we help your company make money and revitalize downtown Jesup?
