“A Letter to the Future Owners of Our Home

Dear Future Homeowners,

If you’re reading this, there’s a chance you’re considering making this house your home. Before you decide, we wanted to share a little of its story—and ours.

When we moved to Hawkins County, it wasn’t part of some perfectly crafted plan. Like many military families know all too well, life can change directions quickly. What started as an unexpected move became a chapter of our lives that we will always treasure.

This house welcomed us during seasons of uncertainty, transition, growth, and resilience. It became the place where our family found its footing in a new community, where neighbors became friends, and where ordinary days turned into some of our favorite memories.

Not long after settling in, military life called our family to another challenge—a year-long deployment. During that time, these walls held countless emotions. They witnessed tearful goodbyes and joyful homecomings. They saw late-night homework sessions, birthday celebrations, school mornings, holiday traditions, and the beautiful chaos of raising children while counting down the days until our family could be together again.

This home wasn’t just a place to sleep—it became our safe place.

It’s where we gathered around the table after long days, celebrated milestones big and small, watched the kids grow, and learned that even during difficult seasons, home can be the thing that keeps you grounded.

Every room holds memories. The laughter, the celebrations, the quiet moments, and even the challenges have all helped make this house feel incredibly special to us.

The decision to sell hasn’t been an easy one. We truly love this home. But once again, military life is leading us toward a new chapter and a new duty station. As hard as it is to say goodbye, we know it’s time for another family to fill these rooms with their own memories and make this place their own.

Our hope is that whoever calls this house home next will love it as much as we have. We hope it brings you comfort after long days, joy during celebrations, and a sense of belonging through every season of life.
