Hey everyone! š
I wanted to take a moment to officially introduce myself and share a bit about my journey and what Iāve been up to lately. š¾
As many of you know, animals have been my life's passion. I have over 20 years of experience working with a massive range of speciesāliterally everything from fish and gerbils to dogs and horses. šš
To take that lifelong experience to the next level, Iām currently at Kansas State University pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences and Industry with a minor in Equine Science. šš¾ Itās been an incredible challenge and Iām loving every second of diving deeper into the science behind the animals we love.
Beyond the classroom, Iām committed to providing the best care possible. I am American Red Cross certified in Dog and Cat CPR/First Aid, and Iāve also completed the Fear Free Shelter course to ensure that every animal I work with feels safe, calm, and understood.
Iām so excited to keep growing, learning, and sharing this journey with all of you!

In a groundbreaking move for animal rights, Pennsylvania has passed a bill recognizing pets as family members rather than property. This legislative change is a significant victory for animal lovers and advocates across the country. It acknowledges that pets, like dogs, cats, and other animals, have unique bonds with their human families, and they deserve to be treated with respect, dignity, and love.
The change in how pets are viewed under the law could have far-reaching consequences. It paves the way for better legal protections for animals, ensuring that they arenāt just seen as objects to be bought and sold, but as cherished family members. This shift in perspective helps to establish a more humane society, where animalsā needs are more carefully considered, and their well-being is prioritized.
As the world becomes more conscious of animal rights, this bill from Pennsylvania could inspire other states to follow suit. This move is a clear indication that societal attitudes are changing, and that pets are being recognized for the joy, companionship, and emotional support they bring to peopleās lives. š¾š
