Black Women and Males in chains still oppressed disobeying the american dream and becoming entrepreneurs and elevating to be two steps ahead while the government continues to roll back aspects of our freedom such as the book ban

Over the past school year 3000 books were banned nonplussed that most of these books were banned in states like Flordia (1,406 books) Texas (625 books) Missouri (333 books) and Utah (281 books)

Representation is for important for every little one in classrooms, it baffles me that most of the books banned allies within the topics of people of color. Themes of grief and death, BIPOC and lGBTQ characters and more!

Books like The stars and the blackness between them, Beloved, The 1619 Project, All boys aren’t blue, This is my America, Black birds in the sky, Hood Feminism, and Black looks were all banned.

Even if you don’t read this topic still affects our youth. Advocating can start with a repost or buying one of the books listed! Use your social media to advantage!
