One negative comment, especially when backed by perceived authority or status, can impact reputations, partnerships, and livelihoods. That is not accountability. That is a misuse of influence.

This is why integrity matters in media.

To be clear, I am not using my platform to tear down Q106 or Terry Stevens. I am defending the Rising Above Podcast and its integrity after being publicly targeted, disparaged, and then having a video removed using a business email, resulting in a strike on my channel.

That action was not about protecting copyright. It was personal. It leveraged position and influence to silence a smaller platform.

Media carries responsibility. Influence carries weight.

If you have a platform, the goal should be to lift others up, challenge ideas honestly, and act with professionalism. Not to weaponize reach to tear someone down.

The message is simple and clear.

Act with integrity when speaking publicly.
Use influence responsibly.
Build people and platforms. Do not try to destroy them.
