Advent House Ministries

Advent House Ministries, Capital Area Housing Partnership, and Holy Cross Services are partners in the Covid Emergency Rental Assistance (CERA) Program. Since April 2021, together we have given out $11,651,398.61 in rent and utility assistance to more than 2,200 households in Ingham County. (Advent House Ministries has distributed $5,402,880.54 to over 1,000 of those households.)

To sign up for CERA, people can access the portal at the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) website at this link: https://www.michigan.gov/mshda/0,4641,7-141-5555-533463--,00.html . If people have already been helped through CERA, they can contact the agency that helped with their CERA case and can recertify to receive more assistance every 3 months up to 15 months total for rent assistance
