Earlier today, the Zapata County Sheriff's Office proudly announced that its members have successfully completed a comprehensive 60-hour Basic SWAT training course. "Our newly established SWAT team is now fully prepared and on standby to respond to any critical incidents that may occur within our community," stated Sheriff Ramon E. Montes. This rigorous training ensures that our officers are equipped with the necessary skills to handle high-pressure situations and protect the safety of our residents effectively.

Avoid Highway 83 and Highway 359 (3 Points)

Despite the sunny conditions currently, we still have deep standing water at Highway 83 and Higjway 359. Traffic is heavily backed up with long delays. The use of alternate routes of travel is highly recommended. Do not go around barricades.
