Webb County LULAC

Tonight, Webb County LULAC Council #22387 proudly celebrated the achievements of 19 outstanding students from middle schools across Laredo and Webb County during our 2026 8th Grade Scholar of the Year Ceremony.

Since launching this program in 2020, we have recognized 886 students through our Scholar of the Month initiative, growing from 16 participating schools to 22 schools countywide. This program continues to highlight academic excellence, leadership, character, and community involvement among our future leaders.

Congratulations to all of this year’s school representatives and especially to our 2026 Scholars of the Year:

🥉 2nd Runner-up – Micah Rubio, St. Augustine Middle School
🥈 1st Runner-up – Alyssa Vasquez, Salvador Garcia Middle School
🥇 Winner – Kimberly Garza, Los Obispos Middle School

Each student recognized tonight represents the very best of our community. We are incredibly proud of your accomplishments and look forward to seeing the positive impact you will make in the years ahead.
