Science & Origin of Blue Tiger Eye.
Blue Tiger Eye, also known as Hawk Eye, is a variety of Tiger Eye (a pseudomorph of Crocodolite) that crystallizes in the form of masses. Its color comes from the natural Crocodolite fibers within the stone that has yet to be fully crystallized into Limonite. The color is usually a dark blue and tends to be incredibly chatoyant. Most specimens have additional colors of Tiger Eye in them such as gold, red, and brown. It is commonly found in South Africa, Namibia, India, Brazil, and Canada. These tumbled chunks will be at our show this weekend.
