This is Lily, a Great Pyrenees, getting a major deshed.
Dogs like her should be groomed every 4–8 weeks to keep their coat and skin healthy.
But here’s something most people don’t realize…
Dogs don’t just shed hair.
They shed dead skin too — just like humans.
With coats like this, that skin gets trapped underneath all the fur.
So when I’m doing a big deshed, I’m not just blowing out loose coat…
I’m also blowing out built-up dead skin.
Which is exactly why groomers wear masks.
Because without one… I’d be breathing that in. 😅
