The LFE Writer's Club spent the year working hard to get their material finished and published! They celebrated the final piece of the puzzle with a publishing party this week! Way to go authors!!!

What a special experience we had yesterday afternoon here at LFE... We invited our senior LFE alumni back to participate in the 1st Annual "Senior Stallion Walk". It was such a wonderful experience for everyone involved... seniors, LFE students and staff and senior parents and family too...
LFE sends a well deserved "Congratulations!" and "Best Wishes!" to all of our former students and all those graduating in the LSR7 next week! 🎉🎉🎉

A huge Super Stallion Shout Out goes to the following 5th grade girls in Troop 2865. These young ladies completed their Girl Scout Bronze Award by building these two fantastic benches! The benches were then donated to LFE and can be found under the playground gazebo on the lower field. Their idea was to offer people a place to sit to watch their kid's practices or watch them walk on the walking trail.
We are so very appreciative of Troop 2865 and want to thank them for their effort and generosity. The members of the troop include;

Once again this year, we will be partnering with Scraps KC to gather end-of-year school supplies that are left over to share with schools in need around the KC area.
We will be collecting items over the next two weeks and culminate on the last day of school when everyone officially cleans out their desks, backpacks, etc...

She finished in 3rd place overall for her photography entry in the Missouri State level PTA Reflections program. The awards ceremony was this past Saturday where all state of MO winners were recognized and celebrated!

Over the last two weeks, the LFE teachers have been collecting teaching supplies and materials to donate to Scraps KC, an organization here in KC that gets materials to teachers and schools needing support.
Yesterday, these 5th grade students volunteered to help load an entire classroom full of materials onto the Scraps KC truck when it arrived. It was great to see these 5th graders take such a positive, proactive and hard working approach to this task. They cleaned out the room and had everything loaded in less than 30 minutes. Thanks 5th graders for modeling PERSEVERANCE, RESPONSIBILITY and KINDNESS! 💪💪💪

In other LFE soccer news over the weekend... The Mini Cyclones and Red Sharks worked hard all season and also made it to the first grade championship game this weekend! More of our awesome LFE kids competing and growing through extra curricular activities! Way to go!!!

The Sporting LFE Cyclones did it again! This weekend was the Sporting Lee's Summit spring post-season soccer tournament, and they won the third grade boys' championship game to earn gold medals. This was a three-peat for them! (winning gold in spring 2025, fall 2025, and spring 2026).

One of the special traits of this team is that all 14 boys attend LFE! What a great tradition they are building as a team!
Awesome to see extra curricular activities bringing kids together to do positive, productive things!
