Transcendental Types
Q: How are we made in the image of God? A: Through Truth, Beauty, Unity, and Goodness. By Jonah Company.
Grateful for such an AMAZING week at St. John Vianney Catholic Parish San Jose CA! These leaders and parishioners were among the first to experience our new app to bring formation, evangelization and discipleship to a new level at their parish. This is just the beginning ✝️
We want to bring this to your parish or ministry! Check out our events page for more!
Come, Holy Spirit!

Summer can be a wonderful time to rest, travel, spend time with family, and step away from some of our normal routines.
It can also be an opportunity to reconnect with God in simple ways.
For some people, that might look like reading Scripture or learning about a saint. For others, it might be attending an extra Mass, listening to sacred music, taking a prayer walk, or praying with a friend.
Whether you reflect Truth, Beauty, Unity, or Goodness most strongly, we hope these ideas help you grow closer to Christ this summer!
Which one stands out to you?

What happens when people begin to understand how God created them?
We've seen greater clarity in vocational discernment for young adults. We've seen teachers and school leaders better understand their communities. We've seen people discover gifts they didn't know how to name and find new confidence in living them.
That's why we do this work.
These reflections come from a young adult, a Catholic school principal, and a career transition coach who we've worked with in the last few months—three very different people who encountered the Transcendental Types in very different ways.
The common thread is simple: understanding ourselves more clearly often helps us hear God's invitation more clearly.
We're grateful for every person who has trusted us with part of their journey.
If you're interested in bringing a retreat, workshop, or formation event to your school, parish, ministry, or organization, reach out—we'd love to talk!

Jonah was a prophet whom God called to convert the massive city of Ninevah. The calling and the mission of Jonah are why we named our company after him.
We have been like Jonah - we have run, resisted, questioned, and ultimately discovered that God's plans are always greater than our fears. Once Jonah answered the call, God moved in amazing ways.
Jonah Company was born out of friendship, ministry, and a desire to help people discover who they are in the eyes of God.
Over the years, we've seen students, young adults, teachers, parish leaders, couples, and families gain new clarity about their identity, relationships, and vocation through the Transcendental Types.
That's why we continue to build this framework called the Transcendental Types that we love to talk about and teach.
We believe every person was created intentionally by God and has a unique role to play in His story.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us.
And stay tuned—our app is coming soon!

"Learn who you are in the eyes of God."
— St. Eugene de Mazenod
The saints understood something we often forget:
Self-knowledge is part of holiness.
As we come to understand our gifts, desires, strengths, and struggles, we become more aware of how God is working in our lives and inviting us to grow.
Who you are is not accidental.
God created you intentionally, and He reveals something of Himself through every person.
Over the next few days, we'll be exploring the different ways we reflect Truth, Beauty, Unity, and Goodness, and what that might reveal about the unique design God has placed within you.

"We must sow the seed, not hoard it." — St. Dominic
In the Luke 8:11, Jesus explains that "the seed is the Word of God."
As a Truth Type (The Orator) St. Dominic understood that truth was never meant to be hidden, possessed, or kept for ourselves. Truth longs to be shared. Like a faithful sower, he devoted his life to preaching Christ, teaching the faith, and sowing seeds of the Gospel wherever he went.
Truth Types are naturally drawn to discovering. At their best, they help others see reality clearly and encounter God, who is Truth Himself. St. Dominic embodied this mission. He knew that the Word of God bears fruit only when it is proclaimed with humility and love.
May we follow his example by generously sowing the truth we have received, trusting God to bring the harvest.
St. Dominic, pray for us.
