Last week we had 2 amazing STEM Camps in Crime Scene Investigation & Future Engineers!
In CSI, the investigators did different experiments to find clues including pulling fingerprints, revealing hidden messages on paper & analyzing different materials.
Future Engineers was all about them using their imagination to what they can build, but also learn about pulleys creating elevators, making balancing scales & so much more!
Big thank you to the instructor Tina and a thank you to Minds in Motion LLC for working with us!

In response to the devistating fire in Lewiston this evening, the Red Cross will be operating an overnight emergency shelter in the Lewiston Armory Gymnasium tonight for those impacted so they have a place to sleep and get food.
We will still be operating our Summer Day Camp on Monday, July 13th, however, our morning operations will look a little different.
DROP OFF in the morning will be at the rear right-side of the building on Vale Street. You can still drop off any time between 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM. Devin will be outdoors at a table for sign-in. Please note that Vale Street is a one-way street and you will need to enter from Sabattus Street. We will be using the field and outdoor spaces, teen room, and craft room in the morning for drop-off. There will be locked doors between the summer camp spaces and the shelter, and separate bathrooms will also be used. We are anticipating having the shelter cleaned up by 11:00 AM, and the afternoon will be a typical day.
Our City is lucky to have this building to serve our citizens in a variety of ways based on the needs of our community. Thank you for your flexibility and understanding.
If you have any questions, please contact Nicole Welch, Recreation Director, at [email protected].
