Posted by a friend on LinkedIn… pretty complete list, I would add not to trust anyone, no business partners because they will screw you over. It’s a hard and expensive lesson to learn yet easy to avoid.

8 simple business lessons from the last 13 years of running my small business:

👉 People buy from those they know, like and trust.

👉 Your ability to succeed as a business is largely related to your business acumen, not your specific skillset.

👉 Learn to adapt. Don’t get too nostalgic about how things used to be because it will probably not be the same.

👉 Be great at something. Do a few things, and do them awesomely, not 420 mediocre things. Nobody likes mediocrity.

👉 Manage expectations; keep your promises and guarantees to yourself.

👉 Out of sight, out of mind.

👉The riches are in the niches

👉 "No" is the most powerful two-letter word we've got; use it.

It was so great having Governor Glenn Youngkin in my home city of Lewiston last night supporting our effort to take back the Blaine House!

Governor Youngkin won a major Republican victory last year in Virginia. He campaigned as a national leader on putting our kids first and promoting parent voices in education.
