We got this buttoned back up over the weekend. Customer needed as much space available in the back of the explorer. We removed the old, blown factory subwoofer and amps, and built a new enclosure for the factory location. We also installed a new amp under the rear seats on the passenger side, ran the required wires for the amp. We also installed new front speakers, and some sound deading material in the front doors. We also installed a new head unit to control the whole system.

Still working on this enclosure. Next will be the trim panel to integrate the factory panel with the new enclosure.
Custom audio??? We like that also. This will be a stack fabrication method of building a speaker box. This will replace the OEM plastic speaker box in the qtr panel of a 96 explorer. We are building this for maximum internal air space, and will select a subwoofer driver based on T/S parameters to fit this box..
This is kinda backwards in the speaker building realm, but it is difficult to predict the airspace available on such a complex shape.
More to follow as we complete this.

We had a chance to work with Simply Noble Ltd. on a custom designed tray. This was from a single piece of oak, and included their company logo. We finished this with two coats of tung oil.
