By recovering surplus food from farms and food producers and red

🥕🍅 Ever wonder where your donated produce goes?

When you donate fresh produce at the WiN-WiN donation site at St. Luke or at the Wilmore and Nicholasville Farmers Markets, you're helping support neighbors throughout our community. Your donations may help provide nutritious food to organizations such as Mana Meals at Nicholasville Methodist Church, the Family Food Center at Bethel Harvest, Kentucky United Methodist Children's Homes, and the Jessamine County Food Pantry.

Every tomato, cucumber, pepper, and can of food has the potential to nourish someone in our community. Thank you for helping turn abundance into opportunity and ensuring that good food doesn't go to waste.

A behind-the-scenes look at food recovery in action with the Family Food Center! It is a great reminder that food recovery takes planning, partnership, and a whole lot of hands-on work. Follow along with WiN-WiN all summer as we work together to get food to families in need 🙌

🥕As gardens begin to produce more than we can use, consider sharing your abundance with someone in need. Extra tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, peppers, and other fresh produce can make a meaningful difference for local families experiencing food insecurity.

The same goes for unopened, shelf-stable pantry items sitting in our cabinets. A few cans, boxes, or bags of food that you no longer need could help stock a food pantry and provide meals for others in your community.

Before throwing away extra food or letting it go to waste, consider donating it to a local food bank, pantry, church, or community organization. Small acts of generosity can have a big impact. 🍅
