I absolutely love these hawthorn trees. Gorgeous fall berries, clouds of white spring flowers, beloved by birds all year long… but for all those same reasons, we should never have planted them right next to the pool. I’m pretty sure the pool guy plots an “accident” for the trees at least once a season. Right plant, right place, folks. Next time…
