Natural disasters are devastating beyond words, and we can see the effects they have on our country as billions in losses occur every year from their impact on our systems. However, we need to be aware of man-made disasters that can have similar effects in the long run. We must move forward with intention and plan with purpose to ensure that we are taking care of ourselves in the best way possible. 

We should strive to increase our individual resilience, because as we achieve this, we improve our own life and in doing so, we can make the lives of those around us much better as well.
