The elevation of this angle helps establish the finished bridge deck elevations. A small error here can create challenges when pouring the concrete bridge deck.

Bridges are our specialty—and making sure they get built right in the field is something we take seriously. Thanks to all of the Contractors that give us the opportunity to work on these amazing projects.

We had the opportunity to design a temporary bridge in Mississippi for Manhattan Road and Bridge to support construction of a new permanent crossing.

The goal was simple: maintain safe, reliable access for the public while work continues on the final structure.

The temporary solution combined:
✔️ Pile bents for a straightforward, adaptable substructure
✔️ Precast concrete beams for efficient installation
✔️ An ACROW span over the creek to quickly bridge the main crossing

Temporary structures like this often don’t get much attention, but they play a critical role in keeping projects on schedule and communities connected.

Our team has been on site supporting Manhattan Road & Bridge on the Springdale Bypass Hwy 612 over Hwy 68 bridges. We are performing bridge layout as well as beam profiling and theoretical deck grades. It’s always exciting to see these bridges take shape, and even better when great partners are involved.

Projects like this take coordination, accuracy, and a lot of teamwork in the field, and we’re proud to play a role in helping bring this important corridor to life.

Strong progress continues at Mill Creek Site 2 in Garland County. 🏗️🚧

Origin Engineering designed the temporary falsework substructure that supported the EFCO forms and the 24” thick reinforced concrete slab for this bridge.

We don’t take responsibility lightly that our designs help keep crews safe during construction, and we are thankful for Sean, Morgan, and the Graylee Construction team who give us the opportunity to assist with their projects.
