TRAGIC: A 17-year-old allegedly broke into the rural Mississippi home of elderly couple Billy Blair, 74, and Virginia Carol Blair, 71 - high school sweethearts who owned a tire shop together - and murdered them in broad daylight.
The suspect then opened fire on four sheriff’s deputies and an infant at the scene. By the grace of God, all survived their injuries.
Cordarius Laray Hobbs now faces 13 felonies, including two counts of capital murder. A judge has denied him bond.
The Blairs were beloved church members remembered as “the sweetest couple” who “loved the Lord.”
Say their names: Billy and Virginia Blair. They deserved safety in their own home.

JUST IN::A mother of six, Sherry Magby, 37, has been arrested on multiple child cruelty charges after her one-year-old son died — so hungry he was eating roaches and ants.
The toddler was found unresponsive in March. One of his siblings told investigators the boy had been eating bugs due to severe neglect. Magby was frequently absent from the home, leaving the children alone for long periods.
Her attorney told the judge: “We are here because my client is poor.”
Magby also had her bond revoked in a separate case where she’s accused of attacking her teenage son.
This is heartbreaking and inexcusable neglect.
