Medio Minute 7: Sand & Oil Painting, Warren G & The Birth of a Curse.

It was a loooooong & gorgeous & fun day in Griffith Park. We had two chapters (@conejovalleymga & @los_angeles_mga) competing in not just their own tournaments but, the coveted annual Wabbit Cup. A third chapter was represented as well with good friend of the LA Chapter @scottbruceyachts from @southocmga joining us as well. On the LA FU Open side, chapter newcomer, but long-time @mgacolumbus veteran Jason Smelser withstood the long delays, a very game Wilson track & being in the final group to card an 82 net 83 for a 4 shot victory over @lischretto. A 3rd place finish gives @amezphoto the reluctant lead in the chapter money list. This is Jason’s third victory overall & first major championship! The Wabbit Cup was once again a very close contest with a couple matches a stroke apart. Conejo took the matches 6-5, but LA rallied on the challenge holes (including one somewhat controversial win) to give them the 8-6 victory & retaining the Wabbit Cup. Not pictured, OG LA CL @paulie5048 proudly displaying the Wabbit Plaque to Medios & wedding guests alike. Next season will be contested in Conejo territory. Up next for LA, the final major of 2025, the Bratish Open at beautiful & challenging Mountain Meadows on Aug 2.
