To every man who spent his entire life taking care of his family but forgot to save for his old age:
Providing for your family is a noble responsibility, and your sacrifices may have put food on the table, paid school fees, and created opportunities for those you love. However, wisdom teaches that while building for others, you must also build for your future.
A man who plants only for today's harvest may find himself hungry tomorrow. Your children deserve your support, but you also deserve dignity, peace, and security in your later years.
Do not spend all your strength, time, and resources without setting something aside for yourself. Save, invest, and prepare for the day when your energy may no longer be what it is today. Love your family deeply, but remember that self-neglect is not a virtue.
Many parents assume their children will automatically care for them in old age. Some will, and some may not. Therefore, prepare your future wisely so that your old age will be a season of comfort rather than regret.
Take care of your family, but also take care of the man who made all those sacrifices, you.
A simple lesson:
A good father provides for his family today; a wise father also prepares for his tomorrow.
