I posted this on February 25th 2026. This picture was sent to us by Abbi's lung recipient. She took it on the beach in Florida. It is amazing how God works. It came up on my phone today, and I felt I needed to share it on this page.

Three years ago today, I walked down the hallway to the operating room doors. I had gone into surgery myself two years before that to get a heart transplant. Now I was losing part of my heart all over again. You stayed with us for a week after the accident. You did it to give us all a chance to say goodbye. You were always the caring, loving one. I talk to one of the people who, shortly after you went through those doors, received a second chance at life. The person who got your lungs has been gracious, humble, and thankful every single day since that day. They sent me this picture. This picture exists today for all of us because of you. Love you kiddo-Dad
