Jenny will be inducted into the PRP Hall of Fame at the annual dinner on March 7.
Jenny Sawyer has worked in higher education for a total of 48 years and has spent 45 years at the University of Louisville. She served for nearly two decades on the UofL Family Scholar House Board of Directors (2007–2013) and Board of Trustees (2014–2023). In addition, she has served on the Assumption High School Board of Directors, the Commonwealth Education Continuum, Lincoln Foundation Board of Directors and many more.
During her career at UofL, she has always supported the counselors and students of PRP High School. Jenny recalls that “My fondest memories are not just the work I did to support Mary Ann Piper and Linda Ilnick and their amazing commitment to PRP, but also becoming their friends. PRP students come to U of L prepared for college and with a strong desire to earn a degree and make a good life for themselves.”
Jenny Sawyer has three daughters and has been married to her husband, Tom, for 46 years.
Help us celebrate Jenny Sawyer and the other Hall of Fame inductees on March 7 at the annual Hall of Fame dinner. All proceeds from the dinner go towards the PRP Alumni Association Scholarship fund. To purchase tickets, visit www.prpalumni.org
