What a nice day spent with friends and neighbors in our community today.

I joined the Khmer Krom community at Arati Adult Daycare to honor and remember the 77th anniversary of Kampuchea Krom transitioning from French territory to Vietnamese control. Thank you to the Khmer Krom Cultural Association of New England for putting together this meaningful event.

Then, I joined the Acre Festival & Resource Fair at North Common Park to celebrate and learn more about the many resources being offered to our community. Thank you to Coalition for A Better Acre (CBA), Lowell Housing Authority (LHA), NeighborWorks Charter members, and the ACRE ACTION NEIGHBORHOOD for organizing this amazing event every year.

Lastly, I stopped by to support our amazing friend Maxine at the Lowell Senior Center Art Exhibit Reception. It is always great to see talented local artists and meaningful artwork on display. I encourage everyone to check it out the next time they host an exhibit.

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

I was proud to stand alongside my colleagues in the House of Representatives yesterday to pass comprehensive legislation establishing essential consumer data privacy rights for residents across the Commonwealth.

This legislation is an important step forward in protecting personal information, increasing transparency, and ensuring that people have more control over how their data is collected and used. As technology continues to grow, it is critical that our laws keep up to protect consumers and families here in Massachusetts.

I am proud to support efforts that strengthen privacy rights and help build a safer digital future for everyone.

On Wednesday I was happy to recognize the raising of the Pride Flag along with my peers from the Massachusetts LGBTQ+ Legislative Caucus. It’s important to honor the contributions of the LGBTQ+ community, along with celebrating our differences, recognizing the progress that has been made, and empowering one another to face the work ahead. Our different perspectives and life experiences are what make us stronger—and kindness reminds us of the shared humanity at the heart of our public service.

Happy Pride Month to all! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

I am always here to fight for accountability and transparency in our state government. The bill we voted on yesterday is intended to do exactly that. If you have any questions or concerns about the bill, I am here to answer them and provide any clarification you may need.

I want to share and help explain in more detail what Bill H.5469, “An Act Promoting Transparency and Public Access in State Government,” is intended to do.

The goal of this bill is to bring more transparency and accountability to state government by creating, for the first time in Massachusetts history, a public records law that applies to the State Legislature.

State Senator Vanna Howard and I are proud to partner with the Cambodian American Literary Arts Association to display artwork, poetry, and written work from its talented members. The exhibit will be on the 4th Floor of the State House until Friday, June 5th.

Today, June 2, my family and I take time to remember my father and grandmother, who both passed away in a car accident in Cambodia in 2009.

Seventeen years later, we still carry their memories with us every day. We remember the love they gave, the lessons they taught, all the toys my dad brought for me and the time we shared together.

As I reflect on my journey in my life and career lately, from growing up in Cambodia to moving here and building a new life, I am grateful for the opportunities I have had: to pursue a career I love and to serve the community that I care about so deeply.

The world keeps moving forward, but when you lose someone who means so much to you, that loss never truly leaves. It becomes a part of who you are and stays with you throughout your life.

Today, my family and I honor their memory, cherish the moments we had together, and keep them close in our hearts. We miss them every day and wish them peace.

I am honored to join the 2026 Law Enforcement Torch Run Final Leg ceremony at the Massachusetts State House today in support of Special Olympics Massachusetts.

This inspiring event brings together law enforcement officers, athletes, and community leaders to celebrate inclusion, determination, and the incredible spirit of Special Olympics athletes as they prepare for the Summer Games.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped carry the Flame of Hope.
