Our Community Health Workers participated in a pilot program for continued education credits in the field of cancer in the family and family history. Thanks to Center for Community Health Development and DSHS for offering these valuable learning opportunities. Congrats to Stella and Lupe!

We had the privilege of joining Dr. Davor Vugrin, the American Cancer Society, members of the Lubbock City Council, Mayor Dan Pope, and survivors Juan Chadis and Randy Christian at the mayoral proclamation recognizing March as Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month:

Healthwise: City council makes plea to help save lives It was an emotional City Council meeting Tuesday when Mayor Dan Pope turned the mic over to city councilmen Juan Chadis and councilman Randy Christian, both colon cancer survivors, to let them explain why Lubbock is observing March as Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month with a proclamation.
