For all the keyboard warriors that think appendix carry is 'new', this was 41 years ago in a TV series, sorry guys but it's been a thing for a very long time.

Appendix carry isn't a new concept. Back in 1984 — that's 41 years ago — technical advisor and IPSC shooter Jim Zubiena performed this textbook Mozambique drill in the fourth episode of a new TV show called "Miami Vice." This scene helped put the show on the map, and also accelerated the career of executive producer Michael Mann, who would go on to emphasize realistic fi****ms technique in films such as Heat (1995), Collateral (2004), and Public Enemies (2009). Zubiena, who was playing hitman Ludovici Armstrong, managed a 0.7 second draw from concealment and completed the drill in 1.3 seconds — even with the added handicap of wearing uncomfortable rubber gloves.
