Thompson Investment Management is looking for an investment accountant with extensive knowledge of excel and working experience with Advent APX. Excel knowledge should encompass writing and running macros while Advent APX experience should involve all facets with experience specifically in running scripts. As an investment accountant, you will work as part of a team to provide daily processing including pricing, maturation/bond calls, posting of performance and corrections. Additionally, you will perform daily account reconciliations of transactions from custodians and cash reconciliations. As a part of the team, you will work on client account invoicing, posting of fees to client accounts, and new account set-up. Your responsibilities will include producing/reconciling monthly statements for clients, brokers, and accountants. Other responsibilities include maintaining and updating the composite membership in compliance with GIPS utilizing CAPS software. With this, the team will work closely with the external auditors to verify numbers. In addition, you will process corporate actions as necessary and provide account maintenance and research as needed. This role is detail oriented and requires teamwork. We are looking for someone who understands the intricacy of reconciling accounts but also appreciates the necessity of prioritizing tasks in a time sensitive environment. While this job description is listed as full-time, the position could be structured for a person working 30 hours per week.
