Embodied psychotherapy offers a deeper path to healing. Let's move through what words alone can’t resolve.

What Is Somatic Therapy? 04/07/2026

"Somatic therapists aim to help patients develop an awareness of their body and then zero in on the way it responds to trauma, stress and social connection."

What Is Somatic Therapy? Many different techniques fall under the umbrella of “somatic therapy,” which is gaining popularity.

Talking about our stories and feelings isn’t enough—we also need space to experience, process and move through them. Authentic healing needs to be embodied.

My work integrates embodied and experiential methods—including creative movement, expressive arts, yoga and EMDR with talk therapy—to help clients move beyond insight alone and toward deeper healing and lasting change.

If you’re curious about how an embodied approach to therapy might support your healing and growth, I'd love to connect.

"Dance is a most effective anti-depressant...it's not just the movement, it's the way it lets us express ourselves and feel our feelings."

Staying present in our sensation & emotion is a form of advocacy in a world that tries to control our bodies.

Learning to stay present with emotion, allowing space to sense, feel & process is the missing piece in talk therapy.

*This video is an example of my own creative movement practice. Your movement practice will be unique to you; this work is focused on expressive process, not skills or performance.

Authentic Movement invites healing through listening to the body's lived, felt experiences - where insight emerges from from embodied awareness, not just talking about problems.

One year ago, I opened the doors to Elevate, with equal parts excitement, vulnerability, and trust in my own inner knowing.

This year has been a lesson in what I ask of my clients every day: to listen inward, to stay present through uncertainty, and to keep choosing authenticity—even when it’s uncomfortable. Building a business while staying true to myself has stretched me in ways I didn’t anticipate, and my own journey mirrors the work we do together in somatic and expressive therapy—learning to trust the wisdom of the body, honoring what’s real inside of us, and allowing growth to unfold at its own pace.

I’m deeply grateful to my clients and the community who have trusted me with their stories, their curiosity, and their healing. Your willingness to show up, feel, explore, and grow is the foundation of this work, and it’s an honor to walk alongside you.

As I look ahead to spring, I’m excited to expand hours, offerings, and opportunities to continue growing this practice in ways that stay aligned, embodied, and responsive to the community it serves. Thank you for being part of this first year—and for helping shape what comes next.
