Conceptual renderings of the kitchen in a residential remodel and addition in Park City, Utah the Solstice team has been working on.
The owners are a bustling family using every inch of their existing space and needed better storage, a proper mud and laundry area and a refresh that feels exciting and more like them.
The cabinetry runs the full perimeter, a walk-in pantry is tucked into the kitchen with a coffee bar inside, and a pass-through window from the kitchen to the deck is in scope. The kitchen looks out over their backyard, which borders a nature preserve.
Circulation has also been a focus, as it is on most remodel projects - always a balance of connecting the spaces, organizing movement between them, and making it all feel intentional for how this family actually lives.
This is an early iteration - the design has come a long way since.

Window treatments are something we have been thinking a lot about, especially lately. Our team spends good energy on the windows themselves - performance specs, placement, proportion, the quality of light they bring into a space, how they contribute to the overall experience - and getting the treatments right matters just as much.
Not thinking through window treatments, or treating them as an afterthought, can undo a lot of good window design.
Having the right people to call makes that part of the process more approachable and a lot smoother.
