A Bit of History: Washington State Wrestling Cultural Exchange with Japan ๐ฏ๐ต๐บ๐ธ
For decades, the Washington State Wrestling Cultural Exchange program has been a remarkable bridge between two cultures, united by the sport of wrestling. This tradition, deeply rooted in our community, dates back to the first cultural exchange dual meet hosted in Edmonds in 1970. Over the years, it has blossomed into a meaningful exchange of not just athletic prowess, but cultural understanding and lifelong friendships.

Washington State Wrestling Coaches and Wrestling Families:
This summer, I'm leading a team of 13 Washington State wrestlers to Japan through the Washington State Wrestling Coaches Association. We'll be heading to the Osaka region from June 19th to June 30th for a 10-day trip that includes freestyle wrestling competitions and an immersion into Japanese culture.
The trip usually costs around $3000, and we're on the lookout for high level dedicated freestyle wrestlers to join our team. If you know someone interested, send me a message.
This cultural exchange, facilitated by the Washington State Wrestling Coaches Association, has been ongoing for over 50 years. It's more than just a wrestling trip; it's a chance to connect with international athletes and cultures. Join us as we continue this legacy, representing Washington State on the global wrestling stage and creating memories that last a lifetime.
