Pretend you have a sweet tooth and crave sweets but now you’re a diabetic so you’re trying to avoid sugar…but sweets and carbs are everywhere you turn! And you need self control to refrain from buying that candy bar at oncue. But it’s so hard bc it looks so good and you think one won’t hurt me! So You buy it and eat it. For an addict this happens with alcohol, or pills, or other drugs. They’re whole world has been surrounded by these things so it’s hard to avoid and harder to say no just one more time.
