Pretty Quick Poetry

I am heartbroken like all of you are. This was completely unexpected and feels like the worst case scenario. But the birds are still singing, and the world did not end, even though it feels like it did.

We’re all still here, fighting and learning and loving and living, and as long as you keep doing that, we’ll be okay.

We’ve been here before and we triumphed. The birds will still sing.
