There have been countless times in my life when significant positive changes I’ve experienced in my health have led me to believe that I’d finally figured out the whole “key to health” puzzle. But sadly, each and every one of those times was soon followed by a realization that I was missing some very critical health puzzle pieces.

There are an endless number of meritable eating programs and workout plans out there, but what has taken me years to recognize is that no matter how great the program is, certain key elements MUST be addressed in order for any positive changes to not be short-lived. Basically, THERE IS NO EASY FIX to creating a long-lasting life of optimal health.

Thankfully, I have also learned that while living a life of optimal health may not be easy, it is absolutely attainable! By focusing on your relationship with food, understanding the importance of creating healthy surroundings, developing accountability and circles of support for yourself, and prioritizing the establishment of healthy habits in your life, a life of optimal health CAN BE unlocked!

My mission is to help individuals desiring long-lasting transformation in their health appreciate the significance of making changes in key areas of their life and providing them with the support, guidance, and accountability to successfully do that.

And while I do feel that pre-packaged meal replacements can be a fantastic tool in the creation of healthy eating habits, one of my primary goals is to assist my clients in developing diets that are largely composed of healthy, whole foods.

The New Year is 2 days away! 🎉 New Beginnings... Are you ready to make 2023 different?!

For so many years, I let overthinking get in my way.

I was scared I would fail...again

I didn’t believe in myself.....

I didn’t trust myself to try another program.....

I didn’t have confidence in myself.....

And then 4.5 years ago, I reached out to a coach who told me “I’ve been there! Trust me, I hear you! I believe in you! I have confidence in you! And if you fail one day, so what? Get back up and dust yourself off and try again. And if you don’t have the strength to pick yourself up, I will reach down and pick your butt up!”

Having someone in your corner . . . someone who shows up for you everyday, even when you feel like you can’t show up for yourself . . . it can make all the difference in the world on your health journey!

So, are you ready to fix your ponytail and try again? If you need a rubber band...I got you!!

Let’s make 2023 the year that you made yourself and your health a priority!

It’s now been 4 years since I completed the first phase of my health journey, leaving me down 60 lbs and at a healthy weight I hadn’t truly enjoyed since my days in college. And, if I’m going to be quite honest, I sort of felt like I was “done” . . . that I had “finished the race” . . . and that I “had it all figured out.”

I couldn’t yet appreciate that, as challenging as the weight-loss phase of my journey was for me, the next phase of learning to THRIVE at that healthy weight was going to be equally, if not more, challenging.

I couldn’t appreciate that in many ways it was going to be more difficult to continue to say “NO” to those unhealthy choices when I was feeling so much better and feeling like I DESERVED to treat myself.

I couldn’t appreciate that once I’d successfully reached my healthy weight that friends and family were more likely to once again offer me scrumptious appetizers, drinks, entrees, and desserts, because I obviously “didn’t need to diet anymore.”

I couldn’t appreciate that the unbreakable “ZONE” I had been in for 6 solid months was going to gradually begin to disappear as my daily focus once more returned to the challenges of daily life.

And I couldn’t appreciate that I would, once again, and repeatedly, find myself in situations where I was “out of control eating,” stress-eating, eating because I “didn’t want to miss out,” and “feeling like a failure.”

But I also couldn’t appreciate that this second incredibly toilsome and lengthy phase of my health journey would be the one that would ultimately equip me with the necessary tools for me to not only maintain my healthy weight, but to THRIVE at that weight.

I was unaware that each and every time I stumbled and fell, I was getting up a stronger and more well-armored woman. A woman who was realizing that those perceived “failures” I was experiencing were simply key learning opportunities to gain the knowledge and tools to help avoid similar stumbles in my future. A woman who was beginning to understand that, “There’s really no such thing as failure, only feedback” and “Failures are simply our steps to success.”

And here I am now, 4 years later, and do I still struggle on occasion? You bet! But overall, even though in recent months life has been throwing some of my toughest life experiences at me to date, I can confidently say that I am THRIVING in my health! That at the well-seasoned age of 50, I am healthier, feel better, am more confident, and am more consistently active than I ever was in my 20’s!

I am also more PASSIONATE than ever about helping others find that healthier version of themselves that they may no longer believe is possible. To teach individuals that not only is reaching a healthy weight achievable, but that LIVING A LIFE OF OPTIMAL HEALTH can be a reality, no matter what your age.

So if you are someone who is struggling with your health . . . someone who perhaps has tried diet after diet, program after program, enjoying temporary success at times only to end up feeling like a failure once again . . . someone who is maybe scared to even get up and try again for fear it will only become further evidence of that failure identity . . . someone who believes that because you’re older, postmenopausal, and more overweight, tired, & out-of-shape than ever, that a healthy life is no longer attainable . . .
