A Call To Prayer

Proverbs 29:18 “Where there is no vision the people perish”
People with no vision have no goal or purpose. They have nowhere to go so they go nowhere. My prayer is that we each, regardless of our age or circumstances, would
Sincerely set a time each day to seek God’s vision for our lives anew. How are we to flesh out the purpose of our lives, regardless of our age or life circumstances. How are we to put flesh on the message of Jesus.

When we observe the sea birds circling over the ocean, we may think from their mannerisms that they are contemplating the greatness of the ocean itself. But, alas, this is not so. For though they may circle and gaze for long periods of time, the instant a small fish is seen near the surface, a bird will fall upon it and devour it. So it is with many in regard to prayer. Circling over the ocean of the limitless presence of God, they give little or no thought to God Himself, but rather are absorbed in the thought of acquiring some special goal or object, of changing this or that, and thus they turn away from the true object of prayer.The goal of true prayer is not to alter the will of God, but rather to know God in such intimacy that we discover His purpose for ourselves.

Unlike a sharp knife or bullet the tongue can kill without ever drawing blood.
