I am deeply saddened by the recent incident during a traffic stop, resulting in the loss of a driver's life and injury to a Shelby County Sheriff's deputy. Our thoughts and prayers are with the deputy and their family. As a community, let us stand together in support of our law enforcement and work towards a safer Memphis.
