Huge LeBron James fan, still… I was kind of hoping that “Memphis” comment was AI, but, realistically, he has been rich and famous for a very long time. Before the Nike check, there were checks under the table. So, I get it, but everybody wasn’t afforded the opportunity or protection that come with being a world class athlete in the 8th grade. Memphis is home to a lot of people, including myself. If you don’t understand the culture, that’s cool, because I didn’t know Akron existed before LeBron 🤷🏾‍♂️ but I also wanted speak that way about any place where the population looks like me and is systemically set up to keep that population in poverty …
