A Way Out Ministries exists to disrupt the vicious cycle of sexual exploitation and trafficking

07/04/2026

🇺🇸 This 4th of July, we celebrate freedom—but we also remember those who are still waiting to experience it.

While many gather to honor the liberties we enjoy, countless men, women, and children remain trapped in the darkness of human trafficking.

As followers of Jesus, we believe freedom is a national ideal and the heart of the Gospel.

"So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." — John 8:36

Jesus brings freedom to the broken, hope to the oppressed, and light into the darkest places. As His hands and feet, we are called to stand for those whose voices have been silenced, to pray without ceasing, and to work until every life is valued and every person has the opportunity to live in freedom.

This Independence Day, may we celebrate with grateful hearts while renewing our commitment to fight for the freedom and dignity of every person.

Freedom is worth protecting. Freedom is worth pursuing. And in Christ, true freedom is found.

What a great day to join our fight against human trafficking and po*******hy and become a monthly partner: https://www.awoministries.org/donate-online

A new chapter is taking shape. 🤍🔥

Today we started setting up the kiln for our pottery studio, and it's more than just a piece of equipment—it's a symbol of hope, healing, and new beginnings.

Soon, trafficking survivors will gather here to learn pottery, discover new skills, express their creativity, and build confidence in a safe, supportive environment. Every piece they create will tell a story of resilience, courage, and restoration.

We're grateful for the Christian Community Foundation of Memphis who provided funding for the equipment, and everyone who has prayed, given, and supported this journey. Thank you for helping make spaces like this possible.

Please continue to pray for the survivors who will soon fill this studio with creativity, laughter, and hope. We can't wait to see all that God will do through this new opportunity.

If you want to become a monthly partner in any amount to help us expand the trauma-informed services we provide, you can invest in changing lives in the bio.

🪑 Sometimes healing begins with something as simple as... a place to sit.

Our new Pottery Barn is coming together, and soon its front porch will become a peaceful place where trafficking survivors can slow down, breathe, pray, laugh, process, and simply rest.

We're hoping someone will help us furnish that porch by purchasing a rocking chair from our Amazon Wishlist.

To many of us, it's just a chair.

To a survivor, it may become the place where she:
🤍 Watches the sunrise after a difficult night.
🤍 Shares a heartfelt conversation with a mentor.
🤍 Holds a warm cup of coffee while discovering she is loved.
🤍 Reflects on God's faithfulness after years of chaos.
🤍 Finds the courage to dream again.

"Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." — Matthew 11:28

We believe healing happens in moments—sometimes around a pottery wheel, sometimes in prayer, and sometimes while gently rocking on a front porch surrounded by peace instead of pain.

Would you consider giving the gift of rest by purchasing one of the rocking chairs from our Amazon Wishlist? We also need the door lock on the list for safety.

Together, we're creating more than a porch—we're creating a place where hope can take root and lives can be restored. ❤️

Look at these amazing cookies with Scripture on top that we got to add to the bouncer bags on Friday night during outreach! We also had delicious brownies with overflowing bags. The expression on their faces and sheer appreciation for our acts of love and kindness creates a bridge for us to share the Gospel.

Thank you to every person who volunteers with our Bakers for Bouncers ministry. Your homemade treats paves the way for us to be the hands and feet of Jesus. There's only one more date in 2026 (September) open to volunteer. Find more information on how to easily sign up on our website at:
