β Severe weather chances will persist into Monday. A Slight Risk (2/5)
to an Enhanced Risk (3/5) is in place for today, a Marginal Risk (1/5) for Sunday generally
along and west of the Mississippi River, and a Marginal Risk (1/5) to Slight Risk (2/5) for
Monday across most of the area.
β The greatest threat for severe weather is today as storms develop across the Mid-South.
Storms that become severe will be capable of producing damaging winds, large hail, a
tornado or two, and localized heavy rainfall.
β Sundayβs storms remain tricky to forecast due to discrepancies in timing and intensity
between models. However, enough confidence exists to anticipate a damaging wind threat in
the morning and afternoon hours.
β Additional severe thunderstorms may develop Monday morning into Monday afternoon.
