Good Saturday morning! ☀️⛈️
We’re keeping a close eye (4 of them 👓) on the potential for two rounds of strong to severe storms today and tonight. The first round could develop this afternoon, with another possible round arriving tonight into early Sunday morning. Damaging wind gusts are the primary concern, and with soils already saturated, any additional heavy rainfall could lead to localized flooding issues.
We’re also feeling the heat! A Heat Advisory is in effect for parts of east Arkansas, where heat index values may climb above 100°.
The silver lining? A cold front arrives late tonight, bringing a welcome break from the heat. Sunday and Monday will feel noticeably cooler before temperatures begin to rise again by midweek.
Stay weather-aware, stay hydrated, and as always—keep shining!
