UPDATE (WED. 4:00 P.M.) --DETOUR LIFTED

WEDNESDAY MORNING UPDATE - ALDOT Engineers now say the detour will be lifted between 1 and 5 this afternoon.

UPDATE-ALDOT says the detour is expected to be lifted between 11 and 12 Wednesday or shortly afterwards.

IT'S ALMOST OVER- The detour from Foley Beach Express to Hwy. 59 is supposed to end on Wednesday (hopefully before Noon).

When it does reopen the new traffic pattern will be in place. The new roundabout will funnel southbound traffic over the new ICW bridge to Canal Road.

The bridge by The Wharf in Orange Beach will only be for northbound traffic.

Update (8:23 am): ALDOT is reporting that the wreck has been cleared.

🚨Traffic Alert🚨 A two-vehicle crash on the northbound lanes of I-65 at the Delta Bridge/Dolly Parton Bridge has blocked the right lane and right shoulder. Drivers are currently dealing with delays to get across the bridge.
