It brings me great joy to share INELDA’s first essay published in both English, “Where I Come From, There Was No Hospice to Call,” and Spanish, “Donde Yo Crecí, No Había Hospice,” written by me.

In this piece, I reflect on my experience of living between two worlds, shaped by an understanding of end-of-life care and hospice both in the United States and across Latin America.

It is a perspective informed by accompanying the end of life of a loved one in Argentina without access to these resources, and also by recognizing the potential and the wide room for growth that exists in both contexts.
