“Balanced Witness”

Artist Statement

This piece reflects my search for balance in the middle of life’s layers. The stacked stones symbolize a grounding of the present to memories of the past, while the crow stands watch—quiet, aware, and steady.

I was drawn to the contrast between weight and lightness, chaos and calm. The background carries fragments and marks, like memories that don’t fully fade.

For me, this work is about holding it all together—not perfectly, but with intention.

The new museum is over the top amazing! Go check it out! Lots of fun things for the kids inside and out! Plus all those yummy food trucks!
