YO Bash is one of my favorite Barry traditions. Student involvement is a key part of campus life, and it's inspiring to see our Buccaneers exploring new ways to lead, serve, and engage.

One of the greatest rewards of this role is witnessing our students grow into purposeful leaders. Barry University's Environmental Leadership Experience with the Adrian Dominican Sisters in Adrian, Michigan, is a testament to that — real-world impact rooted in our mission.

Commencement season has come to a close. Watching the Class of 2026 cross the stage was a powerful reminder of the dedication, resilience, and growth that define the Barry experience.

At Barry University, Commencement is an opportunity to celebrate the individuals whose leadership, generosity, and service have made a lasting impact on our communities. During the College of Arts and Sciences and the Andreas School of Business and Public Administration commencement ceremonies, we were honored to confer Honorary Doctorates of Humane Letters upon Trish Bell and Dan Bell. Through decades of philanthropy and civic leadership, they have helped advance education, healthcare, and countless initiatives that have strengthened South Florida and improved the lives of others.

Their remarkable legacy of service, compassion, and commitment to community serves as a powerful example for the Class of 2026 as they embark on their own journeys of leadership and purpose.
