Thrilled to share a sneak peek of my commissioned artwork, “Night Teaches the Flowers to Listen & Insects Dream in Color” (2026), forthcoming at . The project is realized under the art direction of Amanda Baker (.art), in collaboration with Marcella Novela.

Rooted in the nocturnal ecosystems of South Florida, the work reflects a landscape shaped by rising seas, rapid development, and ecological displacement. Dragonflies, butterflies, and frogs appear as indicators of environmental health—species whose presence signals both resilience and vulnerability. Rendered in saturated blues and luminous color, the garden becomes a listening body rather than a scenic backdrop, attuned to vibration, moisture, and movement after dark. Silhouetted forms suggest fragmentation and loss, while glowing surfaces point to adaptation and survival.

The work invites viewers to slow down and reconsider their relationship to the land, shifting from passive observation toward stewardship and care for the fragile systems that persist beyond human attention.
