UTPB Percussion

Moses Derr, a resident of Midland, Texas, completed his high school education at Greenwood High School. Currently pursuing a major in Music Education at UTPB, Moses has a particular fondness for playing crash cymbals and timpani in symphonic winds. His passion for music extends beyond performance, as he finds immense joy in organizing and maintaining the equipment within the UTPB percussion studio.

When he’s not immersed in the world of music, Moses enjoys indulging in his hobbies, which include building with Legos and eating meals with his peers. His favorite pieces performed with the studio include “embedded siGnals” by Lauren Teel and “Unhinged” by Dr. Andrew Veit.

With a lighthearted touch, Moses also mentions that he wouldn’t object to anyone helping to fuel his Dr. Pepper “addiction” after concerts.
