join us for another QSD May 2023 workshop!! Come join Q***r Science for “Sweet and Spicy Chromatography” as we learn how scientists are able to separate different components from food and drugs. In this workshop we will use thin-layer chromatography to distinguish the pigments found in a variety of different candies and spices. We will use these examples to learn how thin-layer chromatography is used to look for counterfeit spices, as well as to discuss how chromatography is used in a variety of different scientific fields. 🍭🍬🧪🥼

Another workshop for QSD!!! Join University of Minnesota Psychology graduate students, in partnership with Growing Brains, for a workshop about the plasticity of the brain! This session includes a special emphasis on adolescence as a unique period for brain development. We will have a brief informational session followed by a variety of fun activities (including the opportunity to touch a real human brain!) and a discussion about emotions and mental health.
