We are always proud to share the accomplishments of artists that are featured at Q Jewelry and this shout out goes to Lyle Miller Sr.

"Holy Man Akicita (Warrior)" Lyle's newest piece is featured in South Dakota Magazine. The piece depicts a spiritual leader donning a wolverine headdress. According to Lyle "The wolverine was a viciously strong animal that was capable of attacking a human and bringing great harm to its adversary. Wearing the wolverine as headdress was a high honor. The teachings such a leader possessed were very powerful like the animal spirit he dreamed of and wore in his regalia."

Lyle is a retired art teacher that resides in Mitchell, SD.

Q Jewelry is proud to feature some of Lyle's artwork in store which is on display and for purchase.

Interesting Facts About Lyle Miller Sr.
- Lyle is an Army Veteran Combat Engineer.
- He taught art for twenty years at Crow Creek Tribal schools.
- His son Kenneth (Kenny) shares Lyle passion for art.
- In 2016, Lyle's painting of "Sitting Bull" was chosen for the cover of the November issue of "Indian Gaming" Magazine - The National Magazine of the American Indian Gaming Industry.
- Lyle was the artist in residence at Crazy Horse Memorial - June 2015.
